I have always been fascinated by the differences between the sexes - what they wear, how they think and how they act. What also fascinates me is the way in which most men seem almost desperate to impress women and how the majority of them get it wrong. To be fair, it is no fault of their own but I feel most men like to have help and guidance from a woman and that is what I am here to do. From what to say on a first date, to what (not) to wear, I am here to offer my opinions. Not all men out there will agree but it is good to have another point of view - I think! My contributions will be posted here at the Mioblog every week, so read on and email me at natasha@miodestino.co.uk.

Men – Now you can love shopping too!
Paul Smith’s Spring/Summer 2008 collection
Why is it that men loathe anything to do with shopping, whilst women consider it a relaxing hobby – a much needed chance to update their wardrobes?!
With this in mind, I have come up with some tips so that you men will leave us the hell alone…. I mean, that will help you out the next time you’re out shopping with your wife/girlfriend. Who knows you might even (god forbid) end up enjoying yourself!
1) Firstly, have a rough idea of what you are looking for so you don’t wander aimlessly searching for nothing in particular…read more

A serious and groundbreaking study into the male condition, Boobitus.
This study has been commissioned by Mio Destino lingerie to commence what we believe will be a long and arduous course of research into a condition which has affected men, and indirectly women, for centuries.
Women suffered in silence for many years, but since emancipation and girl power, they have begun to speak out about a most distressing and worrying condition which is prevalent in the male of the species. Some time ago Mio Destino lingerie was called on by their female clients to try to assist in finding a cure. Read more about the article on lingerie models

Agent Provocateur Creator Declines MBE
Joseph Corre, a leading lingerie entrepreneur, refused to accept an MBE (Member of the British Empire) last week.
He objects to what he calls Tony Blairs dishonest wars, but makes clear: My decision in no way reflects on my opinion of the Queen whom I respect and would be honoured to have as a customer….Read more about Agent Provocateur

Hey Guys, Where have all you gentlemen gone?!
After several blogs advising you (almost) clueless men on what to wear and how to wear it, there is one thing which I thought many men of today could do with knowing so that they can aspire to become a better person (or it’ll make you more popular with the ladies and it’ll give me the chance to have a little rant!)
I have recently come across many men who may look good enough to eat but I get the feeling that they may not taste as good as they look. For those of you who are confused by now (and for you who are obviously thinking about something much different and much dirtier) I am of course referring to the behaviour of the modern male.
It seems to me that the modern roles of people today have changed, more women….Read more about men in society

Waistcoats for Men Are they really the way forward?
The idea of men wearing waistcoats today seems rather non-existent men do not tend to wear them unless they are attending a wedding or some sort of other similar formal occasion, or of course those unflattering, heavily patterned monstrosities that are often seen on BBC 2s dull snooker players!
A male co-worker (and avid supporter of the waistcoat!) suggested I write about the topic which I did find slightly daunting but after his eagerness and assurance that they are the way forward, I started to believe that maybe a man may know something about mens fashion that I perhaps had not considered! After all, if men can wear a cardigan and make it look good, they should have no problems with…Read more about waistcoats
